**Pattern Name:**
See the Systems
**Introduction:**
Without a map it is easy to get lost.
People can easily learn to visualize and then take action from within their systems (situations).
**Illustration:**
Cave Drawing of a System
The ultimate social system "diagram".
**CONTEXT:**
All maps and models are incomplete. Many are useful, especially if they are at the right scale.
**SEE THE SYSTEMS** is Relocalize Creativity's foundational program as created and delivered by Kerry Turner. We encourage a See One, Do One, Teach One approach. Only in this way can the learning and practice spread before it is too late.
See The Systems program enables people in neighborhoods to visualize the system and subsystems that they already are. This visualization enables shared decision making and shared changes.
Other Relocalize Creativity programs are to support the skills needed for cooperative decision making required for relocalization of working, playing and living together.
**PROBLEM:**
**Shared decision making is the heart of democracy.**
**It is hard to make joint decisions without a shared map or model.**
**Forces:**
**THEREFORE (SOLUTION):**
**Make and share models decision making.**
**Actions:**
Use Kerry's See the Systems instructions. Get help if needed.
